📊 PPFD - Light Intensity
PPFD (Photosynthetic Photon Flux Density) = Number of light particles (micromoles) hitting a square meter every second.

📐 Inverse Square Law
Light intensity decreases with the square of the distance. If you double the distance, you only get 1/4 of the light.

💡 Question: Lifespan - does it decrease?
Yes, the light output gradually decreases over time - this is called light degradation. When it says "lifespan 50,000h", it means that after 50,000 hours, the light has dropped to 90% (L90) of its original brightness.
- • After 25,000h (3 years): approx 95% light remaining
- • After 50,000h (6 years): approx 90% light remaining
- • In practice, you barely notice the difference during the first years

🔦 Grow Light upgrade vs buying lights
The "Grow Lights" upgrade is a general improvement that gives +15% buds and +10% quality per level, REGARDLESS of which light you have. The actual lights (LED 100W, HPS 250W etc) you buy separately in the shop and they affect PPFD, heat and spectrum.
